Restaurant Review: Matt the Miller's Tavern

Matt the Miller’s Tavern is the newest restaurant in the Carmel City Center.  It officially opened on Monday, Sept. 10, but was open by invitation the weekend before. We tried it twice - both times we were pleased with the quality and originality of the food, and delighted by the congenial atmosphere.

Celebrating 20 Years of Heart-Healthy Eating

chef_2Over 20 years ago, William K. Nasser, MD, and Carol Kourany, RD, created The Dining A La Heart Program and annual fundraiser. The goal of the program was twofold:  to educate The Care Group patients and the public that it was possible to enjoy heart-healthy foods while eating away from home, and to raise money for cardiac related initiatives, including the American Heart Association, Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, ECMO and telemedicine program and now, The Reviving Hearts program.

This year’s William K. Nasser 20th Annual Dining A La Heart Fundraiser is from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 27 at the Ritz Charles in Carmel.  Over 750 guests will have the opportunity to sample delicious heart-healthy appetizers, entrees and desserts created by 20 top chefs from the Indianapolis metro area while participating in a raffle and super silent auction items, all to raise money for The Reviving Hearts Program.
